Your Glimpse of Himalaya Tour will start the moment you will step in New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport. Thereafter, you board the car, which will take you to you to Gangtok, Sikkim’s capital, and a cultural hub. In Gangtok, you will be enjoying a relaxing two day stay and visit Tsomgo and Baba Mandir. Then you will be transferred to Darjeeling covering Mt. Khangchendzongha. After exploring Darjeeling, its time to leave for airport/railway station, hop back abroad your jeep for 126 km drive back to Siliguri where you tour will come to an end.

Itinerary

Day 01: Pickup from New Jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra airport & transfer to Gangtok (126 kms / 04 hrs)

Upon your arrival in New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport, our representative will pick you up and transfer to Gangtok- the modern capital of Sikkim and a cultural hub. On the way enjoy the heart-beating highland view along the Teesta River. After you check in to the hotel, you have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 02: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

Morning enjoy your breakfast and then drive to Tsomgo Lake, a high altitude lake of Sikkim. Apart from the sightseeing you can also indulge in yak riding here. Further visit Baba Mandir (13,200 feet). Spend some time at the temples and then return to the hotel in Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Note: In the case of a landslide, Tsomgo Lake will remain closed, but a visit to the alternate place will be provided.

Day 03: Gangtok local sightseeing (Maximum 03 - 04 Hrs) - Kalimpong

Morning after breakfast our representative go for local sightseeing tour of gangtok covering flower show, directorate of handicraft & handloom (closed on sunday), research institute of tibetology (closed on sunday), dro-dul chorten, banjakhri falls and ropeway. Later transfer to kalimpong which is also known as the garden of flowers, the town has almost everything that defines scenic beauty like flowers, greenery, waters, mists and clouds. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.

Day 04:-Kalimpong sightseeing - Darjeeling (120 Kms / 4 Hrs)

Morning after breakfast go for sightseeing tour covering dello, durpin dara, mangal dham, cactus nursery and then checkout from the hotel and straight away travel to Darjeeling. Upon arrival at Darjeeling, you will be transferred to the prebooked hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 05: Darjeeling local sightseeing

Today, Get up at around 4 in the morning and be ready to chase the down over the Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 feet) at the Tiger Hill (8,400 feet). Explore the highest point of the region and adore the enchanting view from the top of the snow covered Himalayan ranges. Thereafter, on the way back to your hotel, visit Ghoom Monastery and War Memorial and Batasia Loop. Later get back to the hotel, enjoy breakfast and relax. Again get ready to go for the sightseeing tour. Visit some of the important places of interest in Darjeeling including Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tea Garden , Ropeway , Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre (Sunday closed), and Japanese Temple. Later, return to the hotel and evening is free for you, either you can relax or just stroll around. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day-06- Darjeeling to New Jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra airport Drop (90 kms / 03 hrs)

This morning after breakfast we will transfer you to New Jalpaiguri Junction Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport for onward journey.
