Beaches & Backwaters of Kerala

Upon arrival at Cochin airport/ railway station, meet with our representative and go for city tour of Cochin to visit Dutch Palace (Built by the Portuguese), Jew Town, the 1568 Jewish Synagogue, spice market, where the air is filled with the pungent smell of spices, St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets and transfer to Cherai. Cherai is a lovely beach ideal for swimming. Dolphins are occasionally seen here. Arrive and check in at resort. Overnight stay at Cherai.

Morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Marari. Mararikulam- a small and sleepy fisherman’s village in Alappuzha district of Kerala, is nothing less than a paradise with a vast coastal line, fringed with coconut and palm trees. This picturesque destination is on the list of every traveler, who come here to experience the natural beauty of Kerala and see its amazing villages, culture, and hospitality. On your arrival at Marari you will be transferred to the resort. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Marari.

Morning after breakfast check out and proceed to Alleppey. Alappuzha or, erstwhile Alleppey is a true splendour of Kerala. It is a tiny district of Kerala and looks like the place that has come straight from God’s own paintbrush. Often deemed as the ‘Venice of East’ by many travellers, this backwater state is also home to diverse range of animals and birds. Alleppey is simply the most magical place on the earth. On your arrival, you will be transferred to the resort. Houseboat.

If you opt for the House Boat which is world’s major tourist attraction you can relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater canals of Alleppey. You can see here in breathing green, the village slumbers by the Vembanad Lake. Lunch, Evening Tea/ Coffee with snacks, dinner all are provided inside the houseboat. Overnight stay will provide on House Boat.

Note:
• The cruise commences at 1230 hrs with lunch served on board and continues till dusk. At dusk the boat will anchor in a wide waterway or lake for the night (The backwaters close to boat traffic at dusk as the fisherman lay their nets in the backwaters. Other boats are not allowed to ply in the backwaters after dusk. On the following day the cruise commences again after breakfast and the guest will be dropped at Alleppey by 0900Hrs. Overnight stay at Houseboat.
• Houseboat check in at 12Noon and cruises till 5PM, Boat will be anchored till 8AM and cruises till 9AM for checkout
• For A/C Houseboat, A/C will be operating from 9PM till 6AM only (All houseboat related inclusions are applicable only if the Itinerary is including Houseboat stay)

Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel/ houseboat and proceed to Varkala. Varkala is a striking destination and an enchanting waterside city, which is very popular amongst tourists due to its bewitching places and monuments oozing out rich cultural and religious heritage. It’s the only place in Kerala where rocks are encountered close to the Arabian Sea, setting the vista for various water spouts and wellness spa. Upon arrival check into the resort. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Varkala.

Morning after breakfast check out from the resort and proceed to Kovalam. Kovalam is a beach town by the Arabian Sea in Thiruvananthapuram city, Kerala,India, located around 16 km from the city center.Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees. It is known as the paradise of the south. Upon arrival check in to hotel near the beach upon arrival. Day free to spend at leisure on the beach. Enjoy playing with the golden sands or take a swim. A soothing sunbath is a perfect option to unwind. An Ayurvedic massage can also be availed (optional). Evening transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Kovalam.

In the morning visit beaches of Kovalam and later proceed to Poovar. Well-known for its clean and golden sandy beach, Poovar is an isolated but spectacular and beautiful coastal village located in the state of Kerala. Enjoy the boat ride (on your own cost) to the Poovar Island where you will have a spectacular view where lake and sea merges. Then transfer to the resort. Overnight stay at Poovar.

Morning after breakfast check out from the resort and our representative will drop you at Trivandrum / cochin airport for onwards destination.
