Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi - Agra

  • 0800 Hrs: Welcome and Check-in formalities at Safdurjung Railway Station, Delhi.
  • 0930 Hrs: The Maharaja’s Express heads for Agra.
  • 1000 Hrs: Brunch to be served aboard.
  • 1405 Hrs: Arrival in the Mughal City, Agra.
  • 1430 Hrs: Proceed for visiting the white marble mausoleum, The Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This architectural gem is also a World Heritage Site.
  • 1900 Hrs: You can either enjoy Mohabbat The Taj Show- a special show displaying the love story of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal Or Return to the train.
  • 2000 Hrs: Dinner and overnight stay on- board.
Day 2: Agra – Sawai Madhopur
  • 0700 Hrs: The first visit of the day is to the mighty Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site or can also visit Itmad-Ud-Daula, also known as the ‘Baby Taj’.
  • 0930 Hrs: Back to one of India’s luxury train Maharaja’s Express for breakfast.
  • 0945 Hrs: The train chugs off for the next destination, Sawai Madhopur. Savor lunch on- board.
  • 1415 Hrs: As the train arrives in Sawai Madhopur, disembark to proceed for a wildlife safari inside Ranthambore National Park, one of the most popular national parks of North India, home to a decent population of the big cats.
  • 1715 Hrs: Back aboard the train. 1900 Hrs: The evening is scheduled for a special cultural event followed by sumptuous dinner as the leaves for Jaipur, the ‘Pink City’ of Rajasthan.
    • Day 3: Jaipur
  • 0800 Hrs: Savor sumptuous breakfast on-board.
  • 0900 Hrs: Disembark for a enjoying a city tour. Enjoy a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort (Amer Fort) Or enjoy a relaxing spa session at a popular palace hotel Or indulge during private shopping tour in the local bazaars Or partake in a session of golf at Rambagh Golf Club Or explore Jaipur’s popular tourist attractions- the City Palace and Jantar Mantar Observatory.
  • 1230 Hrs: Back on-board the Maharaja’s Express.
  • 1330 Hrs: Lunch on-board
  • 1715 Hrs: In the evening, enjoy a visit to the City Palace/Jai Mahal Palace to partake in exclusive Elephant Activity where you can paint and feed the elephants and can enjoy a ride on them. Later, attend a dance performance and dinner.
  • 2100 Hrs: Back to the train.
  • 2300 Hrs: The train starts its journey back to Delhi
    • Day 4: Delhi
  • 0715 Hrs: Breakfast aboard
  • 0830 Hrs: As the journey comes to an end, disembark and bid farewell to the Maharaja’s Express.
